Last week one of my oldest friends, Nicole, came to visit from all the way across the country. We first met on day one of 8th grade and quickly discovered we were both completely new to the state of Florida. We had so much in common even then, including a love for art and creating as well as both being originally from Houston, Texas! We were instant friends and continued to be on through middle school, high school and even attended college together. She was in our wedding party and is a true friend to both me and Gary.
During her stay we went non-stop for all 5 days and saw as much of California as possible, catching up on each others’ lives and enjoying our time exploring. Below are a few images from a stop at Surf Beach in Santa Barbara County, not too far from where we live. It was a gorgeous day, not very cold at all, with abundant sunshine :)
Being Floridians for the past 10+ years, the sight of rocks in every color of the rainbow strewn about instead of seashells was amazing!
When it was time for Nicole to go back to Florida, I hopped on the plane with her–we’ll be spending another weekend together at our friend and my {practically related} little sister Jessica’s wedding tomorrow in Ocala, Florida! I’m so excited to be my little Jessica’s Maid of Honor {I refuse to be a Matron at this point} and even though I’m in the wedding party you can be sure I’ll have my camera going whenever possible–I can’t wait to share photos of her wedding to her high school sweetheart ASAP. You can see their engagement images by clicking here: Jessica & John {Engagement}.
Till then, lots of love!
so fun!!
I wish I could be at the beach!!
Love the sweet post my old friend… Miss You! xo :)
I’m so excited for your future endeavors!
