💘🥑 A V O C A D O: one of the many foods I said “no freaking way“ to for most of my life but now love and enjoy! #changeispossible 😉 If they’re ripe when I pass them at the grocery store I almost always pick one up to enjoy ASAP just like this, right out of the skin. If I buy before they’re ready and plan to enjoy once they’ve gotten just right at home, I more often than not don’t eat them at all and they go to waste. And that’s a sad day because these things are amazing!
Super satisfying, full of healthy fats, lots of fiber and more potassium than even bananas, and it’s a quick and easy yummy option. I’m all about that! 😍👏🏻🥑 Perfect midday goodness since we’re talking about healthy food alternatives in our sugar detox group all week and avocado is definitely on the list!
My method for easy enjoyment: After slicing it in half and scoring the inside of the half I’m going to eat, I mash it up with a fork (still using the outer skin as a bowl) drizzle a little lemon juice on, grind some Trader Joe’s garlic salt into it, mix it up some more and go to town just like that with my fork, or sometimes use baby carrots as scooping devices so I’m getting more veggies and fiber (plus I just love those)!
