Pregnancy is special no matter what, as I’m learning while being pregnant – it’s a delicate state and such a precious thing. Preparing to bring another person into this world isn’t easy work – it’s so amazing what our bodies can do! Sarah and Ryan are a special couple I’ve grown to care for this year and they are on the path to parenthood at the same time as Gary and me. It seems there’s been an explosion of pregnancies among my girl friends in the wedding industry! Sarah is the owner of Details by Sarah Elizabeth, an event design company. She and Ryan relocated to Denver from Nashville earlier this year and have since started on the path to a family.
Like us, these two are expecting a little boy. He’s definitely going to be a handsome little one :) 
I hadn’t actually met Sarah and Ryan until this shoot, and I so enjoyed our time together. I feel as though we’ve spent much more time together since I’ve been following their story for the past couple of months.
At the same appointment where they found out they were having a little boy they were told the results of a breast biopsy that Sarah had had done prior – she has breast cancer. Sarah is 25 like me, pregnant (like me) and was given this news. With my mom having gone through breast cancer this year and the similarities between Sarah and I and just the utter unfairness of the situation, they’ve been close to my heart as they’ve moved through the treatments.
This guy here, Ryan? He’s the perfect match for Sarah and so very supportive and wonderful for her. I’m so thankful he’s in her life and know they will make an amazing team as parents of their precious little boy. 
Sarah has undergone chemo already and just yesterday had a double mastectomy. Their little boy is thriving, growing right on track and they may even get to meet him in the next couple of days as Sarah is showing signs of early labor.

Wow- these are amazing! I know that taking the time to do this ‘normal’ thing and for them to relax and feel the joy of this time in her pregnancy was so so precious to them. It’s so great to see these beautiful photos of my sweet friends. (Not going to lie I totally cried. Miss them so!) You did a wonderful job. xo
