I’m so excited to be sharing Amanda and Jordan’s wedding images with you today! As the very first couple to book my services I have been eagerly anticipating their big day for over a year now. Jordan’s sister Jessica is one of my dear friends and Amanda and I were bridesmaids and Jordan a groomsman for Jessica and John’s wedding last May – as a result I’ve grown quite close with their families and it was wonderful to share their biggest day with them :)
While the couple and many of the guests reside in Florida, this Captiva Island wedding was still a destination event. Tucked away at the end of a long, winding beach-side road is ‘Tween Waters Inn where the wedding weekend took place. I was thrilled to find Plumeria growing there, a favorite bloom of mine since visiting Maui . . .

The day started out bright, sunny and warm.
I just have to mention that Amanda wasn’t posing for me in the image below, she had just put one of her earrings in and looked up casually . . . Amanda, seriously you are so beautiful!
Despite the sunny start, clouds gathered early in the afternoon and opened up with thunder and enough rain to threaten Amanda & Jordan’s beach ceremony.
Amanda’s bridesmaids were so sweet and supportive while waiting to hear from the coordinator whether the show would go on as planned, I love this adorable shot of them under the awning of their cottage where we shot to avoid the rain :)
Those would be real lashes. Such a lucky girl. . .
My hubby Gary joined me for the day as my second shooter and contributed some great shots to Amanda and Jordan’s collection, including the one below on the left of Amanda and her Maid of Honor Kaitlynn.
Amanda wore her mother’s veil for the day, here they are seeing each other for the first time after she had it placed :)
The wedding date was sewn into her gown in blue:
Annie! This is Annie, the Bride and Groom’s pup. She had a special outfit for the day too of course . . .
So it rained on their wedding day. It did on ours too! I’ve been told it’s good luck and I’m gonna go with that. In Jordan and Amanda’s case, the rain served to cool the day and provide soft beautiful light for their 5pm beach ceremony. It was still sprinkling lightly as things got underway, but halted soon and I really couldn’t have been happier with the atmosphere it created.
Look at that groom looking at his bride :)
Those rings can be tough sometimes!
A bright, sunny day wouldn’t have yielded this beautiful view:
Why yes, Annie – this is a special blanket they brought just for you. She plopped right down as if it were the case :)
I believe this is a post “mean-muggin'” crack up:
A favorite.
Amanda is a proud Florida Gator so the Chomp was a must!
This was the first I’d heard of the Cat Daddy dance but definitely not the last of the day! Joshua’s face especially cracks me up!
The guys looking a little more GQ:
This move was introduced to me at Jordan’s sister’s wedding last May, the sequence is hilarious! A tradition being formed . . .
Ah, and now for the pretties of the couple. Thank the skies for lovely post-rain light and color.
Outside the entrance to the reception, a de-sanding station! Such a brilliant idea, and much needed after being out on the moist sand.
Parents’ wedding photos. So sweet.
This father-daughter dance image makes me melt . . . thank you Gary!
Madison has moves and isn’t afraid to use them. I love it!
Sweet, sweet, sweet.
Amanda and Jordan, thank you so much for inviting me and Gary to be part of your wedding. It was an honor, a privilege and so much fun. Wishing you all the best!

Erin, you have a gift. These are really nice. You captured the moment and made me feel like I was there all over again. They have a treasure in these pictures.
Stunning!
Erin- you are a very gifted photographer! Loved all the shots, especially the “fun” ones like the one where Jordan jumped into the bridesmaids arms and the guys dancing on the beach. Also loved the sentimental one w/Amanda adjusting her veil and the Moms watching her and tearing up. What a beautiful bride Amanda was and it looks likes it was a very special wedding!
Hi there, your photos are aimnazg! May I ask, where are good rooftop locations to shoot in LA? I live in LA and never got a chance to have a photo shoot on a rooftop. Let me know if you can, thanks!
